Also a European quality label was created

If they are now, after forty years of existence, well implemented in the schools of the Hexagon, junior-enterprises are also a popular export product. Launched in France in 1967, the concept of these student associations, since spread in Europe, where there are now some 250 structures including about 40 in Spain, about 20 in Germany and a dozen in Italy. There are also a handful of "Junior" in Switzerland, Austria and Belgium. Even the countries is there are, like the Hungary and the Poland. The movement has also spread in the Maghreb and in Asia. Not to mention the Brazil, where it lists nearly 600 structures of this type. But this is not true junior-enterprises, corrects Pascaline Corre, (outgoing) President of the National Confederation of junior-enterprises (CNJE), as they seek to make the turnover and provide income to their students, without their intellectual added value.

The formula, it is true, what entice students wishing to learn in the spirit of enterprise and professional life, rounding up their purposes of months. The work I like grass consulting firms. They are involved with clients who are both business private or Public authorities or associations, for their account of the various benefits: studies of market, technical work, prototype manufacturing, financial analyses, etc. The range of their activities continues elsewhere to expand: environment, sustainable development, urban design, cinema, audiovisual are now part of their registry. An opportunity for some students 20,000 incurred in the movement, of rubbing to the realities of life active by taking more responsibility than a traditional internship, and digest the stress: respect for the customer, time, cost, quality, etc. These missions are certainly paid, but to a necessarily much lower costs for a professional firm by as much as the junior structures have an overriding status in social charges. On the other hand, some 2,000 members directors of the Office for each I, ethics requires, are completely voluntary. They have however a very formative experience, which is also an excellent card on the CV.

Professionalism

On their side, clients like to get quality work in General with professionalism. In addition, students often bring a new look on the problems they face, and propose innovative solutions. "Professionalism", "reactivity", "quality of work", "jurisdiction": all comments returning frequently in satisfaction survey that "Les echos" realize each year clients of I to the award of excellence.

The CNJE also ensures to maintain and strengthen the quality of the services. Member associations have a new tool, called "100 I", which brings together all the rules of operation of a junior company, including a social and fiscal guide conducted by KPMG, one of the historical partners of the movement. Ethics and ethical issues are also at the heart of the concerns of the Confederal Office. "All the Presidents of I had in the last Congress, to sign the Charter of ethics of the movement", for example indicates Pascaline Corre. This issue of quality and the value of the benefits, also earned the Confederation to leave for a few years the Confederation European of junior-enterprises (Jade). This year, the points of view are reconciled, and the French movement has returned to Jade. Also, a European quality label was created. "Many"junior-businesses"wanted to reconnect with their foreign counterparts, including to carry out missions to the international", explains Pascaline Corre.

But if it is gaining ground internationally, the junior movement penalty, on the other hand, for export in the direction... of the universities of France, where there still that are a dozen of structures. This objective is one of the priorities shown by the leaders of the movement in recent years.
